Our jade comes from the beaches of California. There are many beaches south of San Francisco where with a little effort and luck one can find a few pieces of jade. South of Monterey and Carmel is some of the worlds most beautiful coast line. In the area known as Big Sur, towering redwood trees come down from the mountains to meet the sea in a dazzling display of natures beauty. As you drive down the road which hugs the mountains on one side and pulls back from the cliffs and dashing waves on the other, one is overcome by nature's display. Here and there it is possible to find access, (though it may be difficult) to the small beaches and sheltered coves which are ideal for combing for a little jade to take home as a reminder of your time spent in "heaven". We consider jade to be the beauty and strength of Big Sur compressed into a beautiful stone.
